Something Akin to an Index for Tom Scharpling’s “It Never Ends”

0

July 17, 2022 by gaughin

Despite Mike informing me that this is certainly not a real index, and that every time AP Mike is referred to in the book it should show up as

Lisk, Mike,

in this listing he is however he appears in the book. So sometimes “Mike Lisk”, sometimes “AP Mike”. He should be grateful he appears at all; I don’t, but that reprobate Spike does on multiple pages. (I will formally acknowledge that Mike is absolutely vital, foundational to the show, while I am a blip who only got to ride along because the first time I called, Tom was entertained by the Foghorn Leghorn quality in my accent and told me I could call back anytime. Mike helped build the show; I am a pimple on its cheek.)

Here’s the complete listing, as best as I could record it. I hope the formatting is not awful; this started as an Excel spreadsheet, and there is no promise that the framing was maintained when it got dragged over to this blog format.

It is obvious that this is Tom’s intellectual property. I was a little nervous that the process that I used occasionally extracted punchlines from the book. (see “David Bowie” for an example.) I clearly am a supporter of Tom, Jason, Mike and Pat, and the show. If Tom asks me to take the “index” down, I will try to go back in time and remove it yesterday.
