People who know me understand that I am list focused. And I engage in these insanely long projects that I never seem to complete. Like the Best Show Index that fell apart when I dropped 30 episodes worth of uncatalogued episode notes into a lake by mistake, and then just gave up.

I have, for about a year and a half, created a playlist on Spotify for a different musical artist. Every damn day. It’s one example of my OCD/spectrum behavior. Never been officially diagnosed, but a few head and body doctors have agreed that probably that explains the deal.

I call it Dave From Knoxville’s Band of the Day.

Here are the artists covered so far, since September 29, 2019. If you have an interest in hearing any of them, you can search in Spotify using the artist’s name along with dfk botd. For example, if you wanted to hear an hour of Laura Branigan (and who wouldn’t,) in the Spotify search bar just type

‘laura branigan dfk botd”

and it should come up. On top of my compulsion to list, now that I am so deep into this, with 530 unique artists so far, it’s interesting for me to learn who is left. Most of the biggies are included, although I was shocked to learn a few days ago that I had not yet covered Queen. QUEEN! So, there are bound to be a few artists out there who are massively huge and still neglected by my method of sifting for gold to find the next target.

I am toying with posting the playlists here. They are already on Facebook, but I would like to have a record of them when Facebook falls to the revolutionaries.
