Chris Barber was a British trombonist and band leader whose arrangements are a slightly updated version of Dixieland. While his bands swung a little bit looser than the more rigidly structured Dixieland arrangements, there was always that wailing clarinet on top, and the steady plink plink plink of a banjo.
