Rob Lowe

Rob Lowe

Here’s a textbook case study in how to weather a potentially disastrous public scandal. Lowe’s always been a little larger than life. Squaring his already angled jawline often served as his best strategy for conveying any type of intense emotion. He’s commonly associated with the Brat Pack, but his best work mostly has occurred outside of that group. He was accused, in fact there was videotape, of him, ummm, commiserating with a girl who turned out to be below the age of consent, even in Georgia. What can you do in the face of such accusations? Lay Lowe (GET IT! GET IT?) for a bit, then slowly emerge from your cone of PR silence by taking roles that use your wooden emoting to comic effect. This sort of self-depracating stance goes a long way towards rehabilitating a fallen public profile, and after a few sparse years, Lowe found himself suddenly re-castable. He’s made hay in a couple of TV series, and still shows up in films from time to time. That little girl from that convention must be close to 30 by now!

Lowe and Kato Kaelin have never been seen in the same room at the same time.
