Anthony LaPaglia

He’s currently parked on CBS in the weekly crime drama Without a Trace. His dad’s of Italian Lineage, but he actually spent most of his youth in Australia, though he hides his natural accent in most of his roles. His film master-work is probably the character drama posing as a mystery Lantana. He plays mostly dead serious, even macho roles, but is also effective in a comedic mode, as evidenced by his work in guilty pleasure film Empire Records, and by his Emmy for his guest work on the US TV show Frazier. Most of his best roles are in criminally unknown films, but any choice from his list is worth your time. He’s a work-horse; most of his best roles have been shot concurrent with his TV series.

Ten best roles: 10) The Garden of Redemption 9) Happy Hour 8) The Architect 7) So I Married an Axe Murderer 6) The Bank 5) The Guys 4) Spinning Boris 3) Killer 2) Winter Solstice 1) Lantana
