With all due respect to Loretta Swit, THIS is Hot Lips Houlihan. She embodies a breezy good humor that allowed her to play the comic foil throughout most of her career. Her high profile role in the Rodney Dangerfield comedy Back to School is not included here because it’s just not a good movie, although she’s the best thing in it, walking a tightrope between remaining loyal to the college while keeping her options open in Rodney’s camp.

But on the early tv show MASH, Swit looked liked a drowned rat with greasy flat hair, very much sexier than the later Margret with the billowing , just shampooed hair and the anachronistic feminist attitude That said, I’ve seen the tv show infinity more times than the movie for the simple fact that the tv show is ALWAYS on. Cut some slack for the early greasy, dirty bitch Swit when comparing her to Kelllerman.
