Patsy Kensit
A dead ringer for Twiggy, I loved her in Angels and Insects. She’s been working steadily in films since landing the lead in Absolute Beginners, and worked as a child model/actor before that since age four, mostly in print and TV ads.

Charles “Bud” Tingwell
In memorium of this actor, popular in Australia for decades, who I did not know until Lambdamooer Ko brought him to my attention. He’s been a stalwart of Australian cinema for going on 60 years, with his most note-worthy work occuring as Detective Inspector Craddock in a series of Miss Marple films in the mid 60’s. I don’t actually recognize him from his picture, but he’s been in a number of movies I like, including Breaker Morant, A Cry in the Dark, and the hilarious little-known comedy The Castle. RIP.

Diane Kruger
She looks like a contemporary country singer a la Carrie Underwood, but she’s German, and plays an accent to her advantage when called for. She’s probably best known as the quasi-romantic love interest in the National Treasure movies, but she’s got a couple of serious films to her credit as well. One of the very few actors who can make this list with less than 10 major credits, a possible pointer to a long and successful career.
Nine best roles
9) Mon Idole 8) The Target 7) National Treasure 6) Troy 5) Wicker Park 4) Merry Christmas 3) Copying Beethoven 2) National Treasure Book of Secrets 1) The Hunting Party
